ORIGINAL CASE:
The Swift Perry-Arm Presentation microscope comes in a handsome hardwood case with a frame and panel door. The case has furniture to accomodate the two unequal-sized accessory cases as well as a fitting for the microspectroscope and the bench stand-alone bullseye condenser. To pack the outfit, the base is unscrewed from the bullseye and stores to the left side of the case, the rest of the bullseye storiing in a fitting in the back on the right side. The microspectroscope fits in the furniture in the left rear. The two accessory cases can now be placed in, followed by the microscope, which fits sideways.

The case is in very good condition. The lacquered brass handle, lock and key are all in good working condition with the expected lacquer loss, and tarnish. All four sides are intact. The top of the case has an area on the right side that has a darker finish than the rest, suggesting it was refinished sometime in the past. A remnant of part of a handwritten label remains at the bottom of the case.
