BULLOCH BIOLOGICAL NO 2. MODEL

This is an example of the Bulloch Biological No 2, later called the Bacteriological when sold by Meyrowitz. It has the second version of mechanical stage which has concentric but horizontally projecting controls so that the stage can rotate, but complete rotation is limited by the protruding controls. The signature(right) on the flat tripod foot gives prominance to the patent date of 1879, followed by the maker's name, but the serial number is on the bottom of the foot.
